a well deserved holiday in 2004 saw us all going to Tenerife and of course it woulden,t be complete without a visit to the local fire station where they were very pleased to see us                                                                        the pic below is the rapid response unit

a few years ago Borden fire show did a show with competition drills and as you can see we were running against Hampshire fire and rescue but who won

we did   so a very nice chief fire officer mr malcom eastwood gives us our trophy's               a big thanks to mr eastwood and his lovely wife for all the support over the years good luck in your new job

2004 saw us assisting Avon fire & rescue at the bristol balloon festival and the GWR CONCERT with a string of stars on stage and an audience of 500,000 people in 1 day a very busy time was had you might recognise peter Andre on stage      and as you can see form pic below a lot of his fans were there

during 2004 the frome airshow saw us doing rides in the arena to boost the funds our old scania rescue pump from bucks                    and the station run around van from Hampshire owned by j wilmot of Bournemouth

every year we support the wessex cancer trust day out to paultons park  organised by Fred starks and well supported by the fspg a very worthy day

keep it in the family my grandad was in the afs in lostwithiel in cornwall he is 3rd from right as you look at pic

my grandad bert was very proud of my first fire engine and helped me to buy it and it was always known as berties bus sadly he is no longer with us but his spirit lives on thanks to him im happy in what i do

the best fire show going it takes a lot of preparation to get this show up together here we see the gang doing the war time display a fantastic site to see every bit of equipment is authentic wartime 2005 dates to be confirmed norm first weekend in august

well yes we do get drunk and do silly things doing the shows                   this is a rare chance to see mr David Wilkinson on the left mr James Wilkinson in the middle and me on the right doing the dance of the helmets we started in full kit and ended up in just boots never to be repeated ?????????????

one of the recruits is shown how to handle a fire extinguisher correctly

 fire cadets getting to grips with a length of hose and a hyperfog 150 branch this is a very powerfull tool and can easily knock you of your feet
